Second water disinfectant switch of the year happening Monday

EVANSVILLE, IN. (WEVV) — Evansville Water and Sewer Utility says on Monday they will switch disinfectants for the second time this year.

Twice a year, EWSU temporarily changes the disinfectant used in the water treatment process.

The switch to free chlorine is a common practice to keep water mains clean.

The change will continue until October 16th.

Some customers may notice a slight change in the taste and odor of their tap water.
